Waqf Amendment Act - TDP leaders faced backlash in Kadapa as protests intensified. A massive long march was organized under the aegis of the JAC in opposition to the Waqf Amendment Act. When TDP leader Ameer Babu arrived to participate in the march, JAC leaders stopped him. They demanded that he resign from the TDP if he wished to join the rally. Slogans like "Down Down TDP" were raised loudly by the protestors. Left with no choice, Ameer Babu had to return without participating.
